You're at a large conference and you want to tell people about your research. There's only one problem, you don't know anyone. How do you approach people and introduce yourself? How do you start a conversation?

There's a visiting professor from abroad who works on something you're interested in. Perhaps it would be good to get his input on your work. How do you set up a meeting?

You're looking to find a job outside of academia and want to impress a contact person in the industry. How do you approach them?

Networking is never easy, for women and also for men. Acquiring these tools are important for you to be able to speak confidently to others, "sell" yourself and advance your career.

This meeting will consist of two parts:

1. "Networking in the exact sciences", a talk specifically designed for your networking needs.

2.  "Anecdotes, tips and tricks" - a panel of faculty members at the Chemistry school tell all about their first experiences at networking and answer any of your questions.
